Welcome to purlow…purple…today!

And today, just as every other day that has passed, I love you more than the last. 

Today is a day for sweethearts and kindness, a day for love. For circles signifying that you complete me, that I’ll always be aROUND, that this love is never ending. Today is a day to let our hearts shine brightly, to do the everyday love things…check to make sure we are wearing our rings, bring a smile to one another as we both remember where we have been and plan we where are going…while always basking in the love we have right now, the love in front of us today.

The next little something is where I do my best creating, making, and baking, where things go round and round, you know circularly…I am excited to see you soon!

Tonight is for stargazing and for moon watching, a day to warm our hearts in the glow of the love we choose to create in our lives.

We number things, the dates and times, and so we know that our days are numbered, but our love continues to burst at the seams of the seconds. Our love is not easily contained in the minutes between clock chimes, it oozes from one second into the next hour and on into the infinite. This kind of love makes the energy of the universe pulse with light and life. Our love is a love that we nurture, that we choose, that we make every time we choose kindness and sweetness and turn toward one another even when we are hurt to mend our wounds. When we seek out the other to share a sorrow or a blessing or a laugh. It is that we choose love and to turn with our love back to the other over and over. That choice is love. To love when it is easy and when it is hard. Because we know our love is infinite, for always, forever, but we are squeezing it into this life we have, into this now. Every moment I am with you I want to freeze time so my heart can beat a few more times before the clock ticks. I want to go into the ever after and even if I know nothing else, I will know that I loved you well with everything that I had and wasted not a single moment holding back or choosing my words and always always told you, showed you, in every way I could think that to me this is THE love. The love everyone is seeking and writing about in fairy tales, this is the love they are seeking…little do they know that it must be created by two hearts from scratch with the will and the want to care deeply and bravely about another person…to become THIS love. Always and Forever…

Tonight, I want to love you to the moon and back…

And a little something to go with your evening can be found on a shelf that’s too high, because I’m always reaching for the stars…or lids to bowls…you know high stuff. And I love you because you have long arms and legs…and …yep a little black box on a high shelf…

Before we even knew Amazon was going to create a prime day, we picked our own. On March 11, 2017 was the day we said our, “I do’s”!

Mine went something like this…

And the next thing I know you are singing a song that will forever pull my heart strings into the words…rush in…please stay…this love could never be a sin…and so it was meant to be…

Clue: Just in time for lunch: 12:30 we are to the first letter of the last name of the rainbow man! (Oh, Roy G.!) While you wait, go through the baby gate to one of Oliver’s favorite No-no places! 🙂

It was Vegas with bright lights and the chaching of slot machines. We were gambling and we walked all over looking for a photo booth. Finally, we decided for cupcakes and a break and you made the safest bet ever and asked me to marry you! I said, “Yes!” I was all in and the winnings double every minute, triple every hour, and quadruple every day. It has been 1,177 days since…and at just a penny…well it’s a lot of math…and a lotta lotta love later. 🙂

I really wanted you to stay with me…forever and always. And so far so good!

Clue 3: If you took my advice and treated your feet from the comfy seat, you are staring right at our biggest TV, and just behind it you will find a little treat for you…as sweet as my heart and almost as big.

You know the rainbow drill by now…next release at 11:11 am (cause wishes)… Oh and by 630pm we should be at the first location for the evening.

The day I wrote out the fairy tale and you agreed to be the Queen.

I picked the day because it was the most auspicious and because it had traditionally been floor dart day. I had tried to plan so carefully the special evening, but night was both cold and bright. I had the fireplace ready to warm you up. By the time it was dark enough for you to see the video outside in the backyard with the twinkly lights, it was too dark for the music box to know there was light so it would play. And even with this perfectly imperfect evening you said, “Yes!” And here we are and so it went…

Clue #2: We won’t be walking much this evening, so grab a towel (or two) and look behind the couch for a little comfort while you wait, then check back for the next blog post at 11:08.

The first time we sent a million texts, it was a hot July and you were away. My heart fluttered at every notification. But even before then, it had already began…

The next month was straight up infinity (8)…and on the 24th of August 2014 we decided to name this “thing we are doing”. We named it “Love” and said it would last forever and always.

And then…we went to Dave Matthews at the Gorge, then Houston/Galveston, road-tripped to Michigan, flew to New York for the New Year (YAY 2015), added Charlie and Beau to our sweet home, and our adventure was underway!
