I have booked two “spa” appointments. (I may have also watched the film “Let Them Talk” a few times in preparation for the crossing.) The first is a facial, where I will surely be upsold products. My hope is that they will sell me stuff that I will then use religiously for the two weeks on board and form a habit, I will take back to land. The second is a massage, again booked early in the voyage with the hope of beginning the trip relaxed and grounded. I have been booking a thing here and thing there for a couple of months so that I can pay off these items as I go. I think this has been a great idea, and it allowed me to feel good about my investments in my future self.
Also, the gala calendar has been announced and we will be going through all four themes. Red and Gold, 20s, Black and White, and Masquerade. I think it will be fun! I look forward to seeing everyone dressed up! Though I also need to be sure to find some “smart attire” wear as well. The time pressure is on!
